Cosmetic Dentistry – Post-Treatment Care

• After receiving a fixed bridge, crown, prosthesis or alike, slight displeasure and sensitiveness to temperature changes are quite common. If you experience severe discomfort or even pain, please call our standby phone number.
• Use a soft brush to clean the artificial teeth during the first few days. Floss normally. Usually we schedule a follow-up appointment after a few days of usage, where we can adjust the crown or prosthesis according to your experience.
• Your temporary crown or bridge protects the treated area and helps you eat and talk normally for a limited period of time, i.e. while you are waiting for your final dental restoration. A provisional restoration is secured with temporary cement, which facilitates its removal once the final crown or bridge is ready. In case the temporary restoration comes off before your appointment, rinse it with clean water, put it back in its place and get in touch with us immediately to have it cemented again.
• Due to the treatment received, you might experience discomfort for a few days, especially upon contact with cold food and drinks. This is normal and only temporary.
